After weeks of careful planning and collaboration with your designer at C&J Wood Design, the install date is drawing near. The kitchen is, at its best, the heart and hearth of a home, bringing family and friends together. Cabinets and flooring can go a long way to create a warm, inviting environment to prepare food and make lasting memories with friends and family. However, don’t underestimate the power of details to complete the look and feel of a space. Choosing hardware to compliment your cabinetry can be daunting, which is why we’ve put together a few tips!
1. Squared or Rounded Hardware
The rule of thumb, here, is surprisingly simple: follow the lines of your cabinet. If your cabinets have sharp angles, and clean lines, opt for squared hardware. If your cabinets have softer, rounded edges, go for rounded hardware.
2. Beauty and Function
The first rule of great design is that an object must be both beautiful and functional. There are some pretty compelling, funky looking knobs out there, but a knob that looks like a spear is probably not the best option for comfortably opening and closing cabinets.
